Beckwourth and Winston K. Walker. James Beckwourth was a fur trapper, explorer, mountain man, author, scout, guide who had connections to the Colorado Territory during the 1800s. Winston K. Walker began the Beckwourth Doers club in honor of James Beckwourth and broke through barriers for People of Color to enjoy the Coloradan outdoors.
Black Colorado history expert and member of Beckwourth Doers, Steve Shepard, and TikTok star and influencer, Nelson Holland, aka FatBlackandGettinIt, will make this a special experience as our co-guides. We will honor Winston K. Walker and James Beckwourth by spending intentional time in nature at Mount Falcon Park. Come and immerse yourself in the past and living history of these two legendary men.
Please note: While there will be frequent breaks, we will be climbing stairs, hills, and walking uneven dirt paths.
