Black Mental Health & Healing Justice Crisis Support Training
About this Event
In Partnership with BEAM
This training explores the history of psychiatry in Black communities and equips participants with practical tools to support people experiencing mental and emotional distress. Rooted in Black history, Afro-Indigenous wisdom, and traditions of collective care, participants learn to offer care, de-escalate crises, challenge ableism, and respond without carceral systems.
Designed for community members and helping professionals of all racial backgrounds, this interactive training strengthens networks of care and helps build communities where healing, safety, and liberation are collective responsibilities.
