Join us on Thursday, May 2 for a screening of episode 8,
"Claiming Space" from CBC's Black Life: Untold Stories — an eight-part documentary series that reframes the rich and complex histories of Black experiences in Canada — followed by a panel discussion hosted by CBC's Information Morning Portia Clark and a reception.

The episode, directed by Frances-Anne Solomon, is a lyrical journey through the growth of Black communities, such as Africville, the government policies that destroyed these once thriving settlements, and the residents’ resistance to systemic displacement.

7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - Screening and panel discussion
