An exciting talk about Dr Sandra Raimundo's Black Hole research. Learn about Supermassive, Binary and Intermediate-mass black holes.
About this Event

Join Dr Sandra Raimundo, Astronomer at the School of Physics and Astronomy of the University of Southampton, for an exciting talk about her Black Hole research.
Dr. Raimundo will take you on a journey through the cosmos where you will learn about Supermassive black holes: what they are, where they are and how we know that they exist.
You will learn how astronomers observe and study black holes, even though they are completely dark. You will finish the talk with a new understanding of black holes and their role in our Universe.

Workshop Times: 11:30; 13:30; 14:40.

Run Time: 50 minutes

Suitability: 14+

  • a few additional tickets for each workshop will be available on the day at the Ticket Desk in the foyer of B46, on a first-come-first-served basis;
  • in case the tickets for this show and other timed activities are sold out, please note that there are more than 150 activities to enjoy during the day!
