As African Americans telling our story has never been more important than right now. However many don't know their true past and the many contributions made to American history and the global society. But the black experience is simply too important to forget.
In an effort to honor the sacrifices and achievements of African Americans A 2-hour presentation of African Americans rich heritage and their pursuit of freedom and history in the United States of America will be given.
Bring the entire family and get educated on the true black history as it has never been told before.
With stirring photographs and memorial moments and events in history we will take an in-depth look at each stage and examine each time period as it unfolded and see how Africans Americans viewed the world and how their struggles and achievements shaped American history.
The presentation will begin with the rise and fall all African Empires Atlantic slave trade and its effects on the global economy North and South differences (inciting the Civil War and assassination of President Abraham Lincoln) Black Wall Street African Americans participation in the Armed Forces (at home and abroad) Martin Luther King Jr. rise to fame and assassination Slave rebellions and resistance the strength of the Civil Rights Movement including the Montgomery Bus Boycott Selma to Montgomery Freedom Summer Little Rock Nine Birmingham Campaign and March on Washington. The presentation will close with Civil Rights Activists (photos and their stories) and the many African American inventors often untold and unheard of.

In an effort to honor African Americans expansive and growing history we MUST pay tribute to struggles and achievements of the people and events that have shaped our nation.
This event will open at 12PM and presentation begins at 1pm on the big screen in the Library Auditorium.
