GDSN in collaboration with the Centre for Equity and Inclusion, present Black History Month Students and Staff Event
This year's theme is about reclaiming narratives- a commitment to correcting historical inaccuracies and showcasing the untold success stories and the full complexity of Black heritage. It’s about taking control of our stories and honouring our heroes while challenging the narratives that have often overlooked the contributions and achievements of Black individuals both in the UK and globally.
Sharing their stories, will be Marcia Brissett-Bailey, London Met alumnus and award winning author of Black, Brilliant and Dyslexic In Conversation with Jade Benn, Senior Academic Mentor (School of Social Sciences and Professions) and award winning author of Keisha the Sket.
Date: Tuesday 1 October
Time: 4.30 – 6.00pm
Location: BEL1-09 (TBC)
