Give your child a summer filled with culture, learning, creativity, and fun!

Through reading, storytelling, and African drumming, participants will build confidence, strengthen cultural identity, and develop a deeper appreciation for the contributions of African people throughout history.

Each Thursday offers a welcoming environment where children learn through interactive activities, discussion, music, and hands-on participation.

• African and African American children's books
• Stories of heroes, leaders, inventors, scientists, and freedom fighters
• Traditional African folktales and cultural stories
• Interactive discussion and reading activities

• Introduction to traditional African drums
• Basic African rhythms and techniques
• Group drumming exercises
• Music, movement, and cultural expression

Children & Youth (Recommended Ages 6–12)
