Black Healing Matters – Move, Meditate, & Shop Black-Owned Businesses

This event is open to all ethnicities & races!

Join us in a Sunday of collective love & community support in honor of Black History Month and in support of those affected in Altadena by the LA fires. Black Healing Matters – and like so many of you – we stand with those who will be rebuilding, mourning, and healing for years to come. Move with us, feel with us, and support small, Black-owned businesses by shopping with them directly at our vendor marketplace. 50% of all proceeds from this activation will go to the Dena Fire Relief Fund, directly going back to families & individuals impacted by the Eaton fire.

*LOVE NOTE / FREE TICKETS: If you or your family has been affected by the LA fires in any of the devastated areas and would like to attend, please email us the address of your affected area to [email protected] and we will email you back a code to comp your ticket for FREE. <3*

Please bring your own mat! If you do not have access to a yoga mat due to losing belongings or your home in the fires, we will have about 15 extra mats available for those affected attendees.

THE ITINERARY

• 10am - 10:30am: Guest arrivals & mingling
• 10:30am - 10:40am: Welcome speech
• 10:40am - 11:40am: Yoga flow led by Divinity Gaines
• 11:40am - 12pm: Soundbath meditation led by Divinity Gaines
• 12pm - 2pm: Shop Black-owned businesses, nourish & hydrate by purchasing food & refreshments from Black-owned vendors, & enjoy community time

THE LOCATION

Santa Monica – Please note this event will be held outdoors at a local park in Santa Monica. The exact park location will be shared out to guests prior to event.

Dena Fire Relief Fund: The Dena Fire Relief fund will directly support these impacted community members with food, hotel/housing support, transportation, emergency assistance, and any other essential needs.

Good Active is an LA-based health & wellness membership hosting events and activations for a cause. A percentage of all proceeds go to charity.

Our mission is to inspire others to move their bodies and nurture their mind. We partner with local health and wellness vendors and fitness instructors to create events, both big and small, centered around bettering your mind, body, and spirit.
