Black Gov Tech | Winter & Holiday Gala : The Innovators Ball!
About this Event
Black Gov Tech is a professional network of the leading tech companies, consulting firms, and government agencies in the DC area advancing tech careers, entrepreneurship, and education.
Black Gov Tech is proud to present and invite you personally to the 2026 Winter and Holiday Gala with the theme, The Innovators Ball!!
Our first gala of 400 in 2023 was a fundraiser for the newly then, Howard Digital School of Business as we raised money for their tech students for the future. We did it with limited resources, but you all made it possible. We had a great time and were able to award an Innovation Scholarship for their Tech Hackathon Pitch Competition.
This time, we are helping raise money for the new Hampton University AI Workforce Center with the same mission. 2026 has been a year for everyone and we wanted to use this time to bring us together, share community, and acknowledge some of the amazing leaders within our ecosystem.
We will have our first ever awards for Tech, Policy, and Government (Voting will go live shortly)! We will also have a live band. We will have a DJ. We will have drinks (and nonalcoholic drinks). We will have food, good food. And our favorite, laughs, lots of those.
The elegance of DC in black and white on the red carpet over the water in Navy Yard? We just need you there. Bring your friends, bring your significant other, bring your family, bring your coworkers, bring a friend, or make a couple of new ones, everyone is invited.
Holidays are a special time and we want you all to share that joy with your friends at Black Gov Tech.
12.12. 7-11 PM, HQO, Navy Yard.
We’ll see you then,
BGT Team
