Black Girls Hike: Bristol - Keynsham - River Chew Circular

Meeting time: 9:45 (meeting point will be detailed in the confirmation email)

Start time: 10:00

Distance: 7 Miles

Difficulty: Easy/Moderate - Circular walk along River Chew, mostly flat, rocky through fields. Can be very muddy so wellies or walking boots, waterproof trousers, walking poles to help feel stable strongly advised, with spare shoes/socks for after the walk. No toilets on route but the car park is near the high street so will be able to find public toilets/cafe at the end.

Can I come to Black Girls Hike?

As the name suggests, this is a safe space for Black/Mixed Race cis and trans women and non-binary people of Black African and / or Caribbean descent who are comfortable in a space that centres the experiences of Black women. We are not a BAME, POC, BIPOC, WOC, Politically Black or Ally organisation.

What do I need to bring?

Walking boots with ankle support. No pumps or sliders.

Food and water

Extra layers

Waterproof jacket

Rucksack
