Yoga and Meditation Lead, Jevon Devon (he/him): Jevon's journey to health began in his mid-20s, transforming his reality from self-Medic*tion to self-empowerment. Trained at the Himalayan Institute for his 200-hour YTT and Vishoka Meditation, Jevon believes we all have more than our five senses and various ways of perceiving the world. Through his self-exploration and healing journey, he discovered many forms and foundations to explore these other senses. As a certified personal trainer, somatic worker, and dedicated practitioner, Jevon continues to expand his learning and teachings on mind, body, and soul wellness. He shares his tools and techniques with his clientele, emphasizing that everything we need is already within us. In the upcoming workshop, "Black Girl Welness: All About Love", Jevon will guide practices to cultivate more self-love and mindfulness. He aims to empower participants with the tools to nurture mind, body, and spirit, fostering a deep sense of self-awareness and confidence.

Facilitator, Courtney Haile (she/her): Born in San Francisco, Courtney Haile spent her teenage years in San Luis Obispo and returned to the community in 2013 after 15 years in Los Angeles and another stint in the City by the Bay. She explored media representation, race, and gender as an undergrad in USC's Annenberg School for Communication; and examined Black identity development in predominantly white communities for her graduate work at the College of Ethnic Studies at San Francisco State. In 2016 Courtney organized a public demonstration in response to the M**der of Philando Castile that birthed R.A.C.E. Matters. Since then she’s been a driving force in the organization’s progression, arts and cultural programs, and racial justice events. Known for her courageous public speaking, she has created RM programs including Black social initiative NoireSLO and the Belonging arts series.
