Black Futures Ball 2026

Join us for the 5th Annual Black Futures Ball, where we celebrate the power of ancestry and the wisdom of the ancients. This year’s theme, “Ancestral Intelligence,” invites us to reflect on the profound knowledge rooted in our histories, to prioritize intuition, to protect and nurture human connection.

Together, we’ll explore how embracing our roots illuminates pathways to the future.

What to Expect:

VIP Banquet: Start the night with a special dinner honoring our scholarship recipients and our Champion for Youth and Lifetime Acheivement awardees. Past awardees include Barbara Lee, Dolores Huerta, Mistah F.A.B., the Hieroglyphics, and Colin Kaepernick! Stay tuned for exciting announcements of this year's honorees.

Interactive Experiences: Engage with thought-provoking art and exhibits that celebrate legacy and creativity.

Dancing & Music: Some of our most talented Bay Area artists will be creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration. Past perfomers include Daghe, Goapele, JWalt, Karega Bailey and SOL Development, DC Is Chillin, the Turffeinz and more.

Community & Connection: This isn’t just an event; it’s a gathering of dreamers, visionaries, and future-makers creating a space for Black joy and brilliance.

BACKGROUND INFO:

EOYDC's Black Futures Ball is a yearly fundraiser supporting our Pathway to College and Careers (PTC2) program. PTC2 helps students matriculate into, fund, and successfully graduate from college or credentialed vocational training programs.

This year our goal is to raise $150,000 (or more!) to distribute directly to our young people.

Since 2015, we've distributed more than $850,000 to over 300 students. Last year alone, we handed out over $150,000 in scholarships. You can help us surpass that this year!

PTC2 works. 90% of high school seniors participating in our program graduate high school on time with 70% enrolling in college or a vocational training program within 3 months of high school graduation. To learn more PTC2 and our other programs, visit our website.
