Five years. Hundreds of scholars. One unforgettable night.

The Black Futures Ball doesn’t just throw a party — it makes history. Past honorees include Colin Kaepernick, Dolores Huerta, and Barbara Lee. Past performers have shut. it. down. And this August 1st, we’re doing it again — bigger, louder, and more intentional than ever.

This year’s theme, Ancestral Intelligence, is a vibe, a movement, and a message. Come ready to dance, to feel something, and to be part of something that matters.

And it does matter. Since 2015, EOYDC has put over $850,000 directly into the futures of more than 300 young people from Oakland. Last year alone, we handed out over $150,000 in scholarships — and this year, we’re aiming to do it again. Every ticket, every donation, every person in that room is part of making that happen. This is the party where the good time is the good work.

Now — about your outfit. This year’s theme is Ancestral Intelligence and we are counting on you to have fun with it. The looks at this event are always a moment, and we fully expect this year to be no different. Come dressed to impress, come ready to be impressed, and come prepared to stop a few strangers just to ask where they got that from.

VIP doors open at 6pm for a banquet dinner you won’t forget. GA doors open at 8pm for a night that goes until you can’t anymore.
