Historically Detroit has served as a laboratory for Black liberation, both politically and economically. Over the past few decades Black power has been undercut by state intervention, financialization, and predatory governance. This class will explore our history, political realities, and pathways to Black political power in the 21st century.
Classes will include a detailed workbook for attendees and dinner will be provided.
