On behalf of the Black Leadership Advisory Council (BLAC), we invite you to the Black Creatives Summit, hosted by Face Off Theatre Company. This is a FREE event (with refreshments) that will be held at The Black Arts & Cultural Center.BLAC is a state commission appointed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer to advise her on public policy. This month and next, we will be conducting a series of meetings across the state, including one in Kalamazoo. These meetings are designed to gather information from Black artists and leaders of Black arts organizations.
Our intent is to have intentional conversations around what's needed in our community in regards to Black arts and artists.
