Black Community Calendar Meeting — Umoja 2026

Community leaders, festival organizers, churches, businesses, nonprofits, and cultural organizations are invited to help launch a shared Rochester Black Community Events Calendar.
The goal is simple: bring organizers together, share anticipated 2027 event dates, reduce unnecessary scheduling conflicts, strengthen collaboration, and help the community better support Black-led events throughout the year.
This meeting will also introduce the new Facebook group that will serve as the year-round home for the calendar.
Please bring your organization’s anticipated 2027 event dates and contact information.
The meeting will take place before the Umoja
Kwanzaa Opening Celebration at 5:00 PM.
Unity requires communication, coordination, and shared purpose.
