Black Children’s Book Week 2023!

On Saturday March 4, author and illustrator Danitra Hunter will be doing an interactive reading of her book titled Purrdie Burrdie I Love Myself, Can You See? This book helps children, particularly Black and Brown kids, how to love and have confidence in themselves. The book teaches affirmations and a 30-Day Self-Love Challenge — fun activities that encourage readers to treat themselves as worthy and explore what makes them unique.

Ms. Hunter will also have her mirror maker so together we will be making mirrors for self-love mirror work where we will learn to look in the mirror and say I Love Myself So Much! Ms. Hunter will also have a raffle for everyone who attends for a chance to win a Purrdie Burrdie book, game, and coloring book with lots of fun prizes! Her game It’s Bedazzle Time will also be available for purchase and as a bonus to win cool prizes.
