Black Cat Zine Club - Travel Edition

Join us at Black Cat Bar, Coffee & Bottle Shop on Smithdown Road for the next Black Cat Zine Club!

This month we're taking inspiration from travel, adventure, and the places that stay with us. Together we'll explore map-inspired zine formats, creating handmade publications that capture journeys, memories, dream destinations, future plans, favourite walks, holidays, or places that feel like home.

I'll be showing a selection of folded map-style zines before you create your own. Fill yours with drawings, writing, collage, tickets, photos, maps, postcards, or anything else that helps tell your story. No experience is needed—just come along and get creative.

If you'd like to, bring along old maps, travel tickets, postcards, brochures, photos, receipts, or other travel ephemera to include in your zine, but all materials will be provided.

Join us from 6–9pm on Tuesday 25th August at Black Cat. As always, it's a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone is welcome and encouraged to create at their own pace.

The event is ticketed as space is limited. Half the tickets are free, with the other half available on a pay-what-you-can donation basis (£1+) to help cover the cost of materials while keeping Black Cat Zine Club as accessible as possible. All materials are provided - just bring yourself, and some cash or card if you'd like drinks or snacks from the bar.
