Black Boy Joy Lab: Free 6 Week Wellness Program for Boys Ages 5-7
About this Event
Big feelings. Brave voices. Room to belong.
Black Boy Joy Lab™ is a free, six-week wellness experience created especially for Black boys ages 5–7. It’s a space where your child can celebrate who he is, explore his strengths, and practice tools he can use at home, at school, and with friends.
Through creative projects, interactive games, stories, and guided conversations, boys explore three pillars:
⚡ Confidence: “My voice matters.” Practice positive self-talk, asking for help, and trying something new—even when it feels challenging.
🌱 Calm: “I can pause and breathe.” Learn to recognize feelings and practice tools for responding to frustration and everyday challenges.
🤎 Connection: “I belong.” Explore friendship, kindness, respecting boundaries, and the people they can turn to for support.
Each boy receives a Creative Power Book, affirmation cards, and a breathing card to reinforce what he practices during the sessions.
