Drawing from Beatrice’s own lived experience as a Black woman, the play shines a light on gaps in the healthcare system—particularly regarding uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, delayed diagnosis, and reproductive loss—while emphasizing how vital it is for women to be heard and believed.
