Black Belt Heather Raftery BJJ Seminar

Nogi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminar taught by Atos black belt Heather Raftery. Heather is a black belt under Andre Galvao, a multiple-time Nogi Worlds medalist, a two-time ADCC North American Trials medalist and BJJ Globetrotters instructor.

Heather has been a black belt for 5.5 years, having started BJJ knowing absolutely nothing about the martial art. She started her jiu-jitsu journey to learn more about self-defense. First she tried kickboxing but jiu-jitsu caught her eye and once she tried a class she was hooked.

Attendees of this event will learn about Heather's jiu-jitsu perspective, deep-diving into the underlying positions & techniques of jiu-jitsu.

In Heather's own words, "I think jiu-jitsu is one of the best martial arts - and activities, period - for a woman to get into. It's incredibly empowering to know that you can handle yourself & protect yourself against someone much larger than you. That is an incredible feeling."
