North American Premiere of New 4K Restoration!An eccentric, laidback cop with a penchant for Hawaiian shirts is reluctantly paired with an ambitious young rookie whose enthusiasm may supersede his experience. Helmed by iconic Shaw Brothers director/fight choreographer Lau Kar-Leung (36TH CHAMBER OF SHAOLIN, DIRTY HO), TIGER ON THE BEAT is finally getting the 4K restoration it deserves thanks to Shout! Studios next wave of releases from the Golden Princess library of classic Hong Kong films. A rare modern-set film for Lau Kar-Leung, fans will be delighted to see stars like Chow Yun Fat (HARDBOILED), Conan Lee (EXTERMINATORS) and even a chainsaw-wielding Gordon Liu (K*ll BILL) duke it out in this explosive 80s action-comedy.
