Black Art Gala

The Black Art Foundation and Green Book of Tampa Bay Inc., in partnership with the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, 101.5 The Vibe, Symphonic Distribution, The Tampa Edition, The Barrymore Hotel, and Crown Royal, proudly announce the Fourth Annual Black Art Gala, taking place Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 6:00 PM in Ferguson Hall at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts.

This prestigious evening will honor artists and community leaders whose contributions have significantly shaped the cultural landscape of Tampa Bay and beyond. Founded in 2021, the Black Art Gala was established to celebrate, preserve, and elevate the artistic achievements of African American artists in the region. Since its inception, the Gala has become a premier cultural event dedicated to recognizing creative excellence and fostering a deeper appreciation for Black artistry and leadership.

The 2026 Black Art Gala promises an unforgettable evening featuring:

• Emcee EJ Greig of 101.5 The Vibe
• Live performances by celebrated Tampa Bay artists and musicians
• Visual art showcases highlighting exceptional local talent

Tickets are available now at StrazCenter.org. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Green Book of Tampa Bay (GreenBookTB.net), a nonprofit organization dedicated to spotlighting Black artists, storytellers, and visionaries through events, exhibitions, and experiences that inspire connection, honor legacy, and increase the economic vitality of Tampa Bay’s arts community.
