During the Bizon Summer Break we sporadically have spontaneous gigs from musicians that only play for drinks and the tip box. Enjoy and make sure they can pay their taxi "home"...
Singer-songwriter Nicolas Quérini weaves a touch of his philosophy and his social commitment into his pop-folk sound. Following his debut album – “Les Nœuds du Destin” – recorded in 2010 with Violet Production in Besançon, he is now returning to the Belgian music scene with a new EP entitled “Nostalgie de Bruxelles”. The EP consists mainly of pop-folk ballads, notably “Le Fil du Destin”, and a more pop-rock track – “Watching the world burn” – which envisions the end of the world against a backdrop of trumpets and minor chords.
Among his most recent compositions, listeners will also discover “Minneapolis”, a poignant track written in the wake of the recent tragic events in the United States, as well as “Rejoindre l’écume”, a song inspired by Schopenhauer that invites us to shed our individuality and merge with the elements and all living things. Nicolas Quérini is now accompanied on stage by Pieter on harmonica, whose playing highlights the folk influence in his compositions, and by Mike on the shamanic drum.
