The hike to El Montgó is one of the most spectacular adventures along the Valencian coastline, offering a mix of challenge, natural beauty, and unforgettable views. Rising to over 750 meters, the mountain dominates the landscape between Dénia and Jávea, with rocky paths that wind through Mediterranean vegetation and open up to sweeping panoramas of the sea and surrounding towns. On this special trip, we will not only reach the summit but also spend the night there, bivouacking under the stars. As the sun sets, the horizon transforms into shades of orange and purple, while the distant lights of the coastline sparkle below, creating a truly magical atmosphere.
Sleeping at the summit is an experience in itself: the peaceful mountain air, the silence of the natural park, and a sky full of stars make it a night to remember. With no light pollution, the stargazing is incredible, and the sunrise the next morning is the perfect reward for the effort – casting golden light over the Mediterranean and the rugged limestone cliffs of the park. This overnight adventure requires proper preparation, with warm clothing, food, water, and a sleeping bag, but the reward is a unique immersion in nature that few get to experience.
