Bittersweet: Eat Dessert, Buy Art, End Alz

Join Blue Spirit Studio and Gallery + Team Jeanette + the Arts with Heart Fund for an art and dessert event to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association.

Artists from the Upstate have created dessert-themed artwork that will be on view at the Blue Spirit Studio and Gallery from September 17th - October 15th. Visiting the gallery during open-hours is free and open to the public.

On Saturday September 19th from 1-4pm, we hope you will join us for the ticketed event: Bittersweet: Eat Dessert, Buy Art, End Alz with delicious desserts created by local bakers to accompany the artwork.

The September 19th ticketed event will be a fun and delicious time for the whole family while raising funds for the Alzheimer's Association.

Why desserts?

Desserts and Art both provoke sensory responses, leading to memories and creating nostalgia. Many people have that dessert from childhood that they pine for or that brings back happy memories. Maybe it’s one that you can almost smell or taste and remember the hands that prepared it for you. Other desserts immediately take you back to a moment in the past - a specific celebration or holiday. A favorite dessert can bring comfort and care.
