An in-person Thursday evening lecture, 'Bits, Bridles & Biomechanics', on how the bit and bridle effect the whole horse's body and why.'The Equine Bit Fitter', Tara Graham will address correct fitting of the bit and bridle from an anatomical perspective, based on her extensive background in equine bodywork, osteopathy and dissection, and experience of fitting over 1000 horses. This lecture was designed to go beyond the normal educational material of bit actions to look at the reasons why ensuring these crucial but often overlooked pieces of tack effect the way our horses perform.
Other topics of the lecture will include every day tack checks to be mindful of, a look at recent USDF and FEI rule changes, and a Q&A section at the end of the lecture.
