Whether you sell goods or services, your website is a key element of your business, and can often be the first impression people get of who you are and what you do.

But if you’re a small business owner, it can be hard to manage and develop your website and online presence and juggle the other demands of your business. In this hands-on Bite-sized Learning with Wendy Dolan from Swamped Media, you’ll get tips and advice on building and managing your WordPress website with confidence.

In this session you will:

• Find out what a sitemap is, and how to plan it

• Get the basics of adding pages and uploading content to your website

• Learn how to use the WordPress builder, Gutenberg

• Add menus and widgets

• Discover what plugins and themes work best for your website

You’ll come away with the tools and knowledge to build and manage your own WordPress website, and feel confident to take control of your online presence.

Although suitable for beginners, in this workshop Wendy will be sharing valuable tips for more experienced users as well.

This will be small group training (no more than 10 people) and will be a hands-on session with a WordPress expert. You’ll get your own blank WordPress site to work from on the day.

Attendees will need to bring their own laptop and charger to use during the session.

Can I attend if I am not a member of the Chamber? If you have never been a member of the Chamber you can book and join as a guest at two of our events (just one Chamber Breakfast).
