The Bishop’s Gala Dinner is a radiant evening of faith, beauty, and unity — bringing together parishes, clergy, and faithful from across our Eparchy to celebrate God’s transforming grace and the second anniversary of the Enthronement of Bishop Michael Kwiatkowski, whose birthday we also joyfully mark on this day.
Through sacred art, inspiring testimonies, uplifting music, and performances by talented young Ukrainian musicians, the evening invites us to pause, reflect, and renew our mission as disciples of hope.
This charitable Gala unites hearts and hands in support of Ukrainian children and youth in Canada through Camp St. Volodymyr 2026 — a place where young people encounter Christ, build lifelong friendships, and grow in their Ukrainian Catholic faith and heritage. Together, we plant seeds of faith and nurture the next generation with hope and love.
At the heart of the evening is the live sacred art performance “The Wheat of Resurrection” by renowned artist Serhii Kolodka, symbolizing how hope rises from faith — and how, together, we cultivate new life in Christ.
Through this Gala, we come to unite, to inspire, and to be sent forth — carrying the light of the Jubilee of Hope back to our parishes, families, and communities, as we continue building a future of faith and joy for our children.
Lev Panchenko — Piano
Born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, into a family of professional musicians, Lev Panchenko began studying piano and classical guitar at an early age, eventually choosing to devote himself entirely to the piano.
Lev is a multiple prizewinner in piano competitions and has also been recognized as a talented guitarist. He performs regularly in concerts, participates in volunteer projects, and has even played the leading role in his school’s opera, The Phantom, performing live throughout the show. Lev has appeared as a soloist with orchestra, and his dream is to become a professional pianist, using music to share beauty and peace with others.
Liubomyr Prysyazhnyi — Saxophone
Liubomyr Prysyazhnyi grew up in a musical family where everyone sings or plays an instrument. His first instrument was the recorder, but he soon found his true voice in the saxophone.
Now studying in Canada, he learns saxophone, piano, and music theory. Despite just three years of experience, Liubomyr is already the youngest street musician in White Rock and the Grand Prix winner of the Richmond Music Festival 2025.
Energetic and passionate, he inspires others with his music and joyful spirit.
Yasa Bobanova — Panpipe
Yasa Bobanova is a young and determined student who discovered her love for the panpipe just a year and a half ago.
Despite her short time of study, she has already shown great discipline, sensitivity, and musical expressiveness. Yasa’s gentle melodies touch hearts and remind us that talent, when nurtured with dedication and love, blossoms quickly.
Her performance symbolizes the spirit of perseverance and hope that unites all young Ukrainians in Canada.
