Our mixed equipment course is designed to give you a feel of each aerial style and to build your knowledge and strength through the different challenges of aerial hoop, silks, trapeze and hammock. This class is suitable for beginners to aerial, as well as students from our aerial yoga classes looking to try the more dynamic circus side of aerial. This is a very popular course for anyone looking to try a little bit of everything, or who is unsure which of the dynamic aerial arts styles would suit them best. You can stay in this class term after term gaining a solid grounding in all aerial arts if you choose, without specialising in any one aerial style or you can use this course to help decide on which aerial art to specialise in.
Equipment is shared between no more than 2 people to guarantee plenty of practice time during our classes. Teens 11+ are welcome with a participating adult over the age of 18, and 16+ may attend unaccompanied, however this is an adult class and under 16s may not attend unaccompanied. Our aerial arts classes have a 21 stone/133kg weight limit.
This is a dynamic physical class, please get in touch if you have a health condition that could limit your participation, or consider our aerial yoga classes which are less strenuous as a starting point for entry to aerial arts. If you are reasonably fit and healthy (able to climb stairs, do a sit up, lift a heavy box, walk unaided then this class should suit most people but you will work hard!). This class is not suitable to begin if you have active current vertigo, herniated or bulging spinal disks, glaucoma, arthritis which significantly limits your grip, are currently pregnant or are within 6 weeks of giving birth. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive studio and welcome students beyond these safety limitations regardless of body type, fitness levels, physical limitations or disabilities or other restrictions. A free carers place is available for anyone who requires assistance to access our classes and is in receipt of middle or higher rate DLA or PIP. Please get in touch to discuss how we can ensure our classes are inclusive of your needs.
