Birth Prep Workshop: Preparing Your Body for Labor, Delivery & Recovery
About this Event
Approach birth feeling informed, empowered, and prepared. This interactive 90-minute workshop is designed for pregnant people and their support person to learn practical, evidence-informed strategies that can help support a more comfortable labor, birth, and postpartum recovery.
Together, we'll explore how your body prepares for labor, the role of the pelvic floor, and how breathing, movement, and positioning can help you work with your body throughout the birth process. You'll practice labor positions, learn simple techniques to improve comfort, and discover how support partners can provide meaningful hands-on assistance during labor.
We'll also discuss what to expect during the early postpartum period, common physical changes after birth, and signs that may indicate you would benefit from additional support from a pelvic health physical therapist.
You'll leave with a take-home birth preparation routine, practical tools you can begin using immediately, and greater confidence heading into labor, birth, and recovery.
