TERRA INCOGNITA is the new album from BIRMINGHAM ELECTRIC. Due for release on April 24th 2026, it casts Andy (“Mr. Birmingham”) Evans, songwriter and instigator, as the ringleader of an underground supergroup built for the stage.
Four years after the debut LP COMMUNICATION (produced by Mark Reeder — Factory, MFS, Berlin), Evans and long-time co-conspirator Malcolm Holmes (OMD) return with a sonically expansive, concept-driven opus. Tackling global warming (Mess U Made), UFOs (Anomaly), and nuclear accidents (Pripyat Café), the record’s world is supercharged by co-writes and performances from Peter Hook (Joy Division, New Order), signature guitar from Adam And The Ants co-writer and guitar legend Marco Pirroni, plus vocals from Siobhan De Maré (Mono / Violet Indiana - her duo with Cocteau Twins Robin Guthrie), operatic vocal stylings from Kingdom Come vocalist Valis Volkova and Dave Gilmour’s and Sam Smith’s vocal MD Lucita Jules.
The Terra Incognita Revue will bring the revue into four key cities that shaped both sound and line-up of the record. The Amsterdam show will feature a DJ set from Dutch punk maven Oscar Smit. Support TBA.
