About this Event
Bring your binoculars! A chance to see the Red-necked Grebe (an uncommon bird) or look deep into the water to see the elusive wild goldfish.
Lots of birds frequent the McKenzie Towne Pond. Ospreys hunt and blackbirds squawk. You can see gulls, herons, ducks, finches, sparrows, chickadees, grackles and of course, the magpies. You just never know what might be around. Nature in our own backyard! The path is paved and flat. Benches, a playground and even chess board tables. A nice place to stroll. Everyone welcome!
WALK NOTES: Breaks offered along the way.
MEETING SPOT: Second Cup High Street - 30 High St SE, Calgary, AB T2Z 3T8
YOUR WALK LEADER: Nancy Murdoch - Longtime McKenzie Towne resident. Experienced birder.
