“Birding 2024” new works by Floy Zittin

Viewpoints Gallery is thrilled to announce our November exhibition, “Birding 2024” by award winning artist Floy Zittin. Floy is a master at painting birds in their natural habitats and infuses each piece with joy, serenity, peace and wonder. Her love of birds shines through in her latest collection, where her vast knowledge of her subject is evident in each work’s beautiful details. Floy’s “Birding 2024” collection was inspired by her encounters with birds throughout the past year, both at home and during her travels to the Midwest, Belize and Peru. "This last year has been special, filled with travel and observing and painting birds. In this series of work I hope to convey the wonder I felt revisiting old bird friends and learning about new species in Central and South America." Floy’s passion for capturing the essence of her bird subjects is evident in this new collection. Her works capture the feeling of peace and elation at catching rare glimpses of birds in their native habitats.

Floy has been painting with watercolors and acrylics for over 40 years and her stunning work has garnered numerous awards in national shows. She and her husband observe birds daily and enjoy leading field trips sponsored by the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society.
