February 13. Birdie Bistro. 1-4 pm. Spend a playful afternoon making and decorating your very own Birdie Bistro for your backyard. Colder weather is coming, and your little feathered friends are going to need some extra snacks to stay warm and healthy! Becky Zee will guide you through the assembly process where you will learn about basic slab-building techniques. Then, you will be given a wide assortment of stamps, shape cutters, and vibrantly colored slips to make your Birdie Bistro the most bodacious birdfeeder on your block. No experience is necessary. All you need to bring is your imagination and an adventurous spirit, and be sure to wear your play clothes. Oh, and bring a friend or two if you can! All ages are welcome, but kids under 12 need to have an adult helper present. Finished bistros will be given a waterproof clear glaze and fired off-site. Then they will be brought back to the Garden for pickup two weeks after class. Class fee includes all supplies and tools needed to make your Birdie Bistros.
