Weekend series. Two-session series: Saturday, October 3, from 2:00–4:30 PM, and Sunday, October 4, from 12:00–2:30 PM. Registration includes both sessions.

Come join the party and see what all the excitement around American Mahjong is about!
Bird BAM’s Beginner Mahjong Series is designed for complete beginners. Over two friendly, hands-on sessions, we’ll take American Mahjong from unfamiliar to playable, one step at a time.
You’ll learn:
The tiles and how the game is organized
How to read and use the Mahjong card
How to build and choose a hand
The Charleston
Jokers, exposures and the basic rules of play
How a complete game works from start to finish
You’ll practice as you learn, with plenty of guidance along the way. By the end of the second session, you’ll be ready to sit down and play a game.
No experience is needed. Everything you need during class will be provided, including Mahjong sets and training cards for use during class. Contact us if you want to learn where to buy your own card.
The class is limited to eight students so everyone receives individual attention.
Price: $95 per person for the complete two-session series (five hours of instruction).
Graduates of this series will receive priority registration and a special discount code for an upcoming Bird BAM Guided Play session.
