BIPOC Creators' Emporium

Join us at @wonderneath on Sunday, October 19th from 11am - 4pm for the first ever BIPOC Creators' Emporium! This is a new initiative created by passionate Kjipuktuk locals who wanted to create more opportunities for BIPOC creators to sell their work in a supportive, safe environment that values EDIA.

Note: tickets are not required to attend, the event is posted here for greater reach & to allow for easy calendar subscription :)

In the spirit of EDIA -- in addition to centering BIPOC creators -- we've also decided to make the event mask-mandatory to support disabled folks & their allies.
We kindly ask you to bring masks if possible, but we will purchase as many as we can to make it accessible. Since this is our first event, anything outside of the venue rental costs come out of our own pocket. We hope to get enough momentum & support make this a reoccurring event, which will allow us to apply for grant funding & other financial supports.
The mission of this project is to have fully-accessible (in terms of costs; health & safety; physical accessibility; being culturally informed; etc.) pop-up markets in K'jipuktuk that have a focus on BIPOC creators; ideally with a wide-range of identities represented.
