About this Event
Conditionally Active T cell-engaging Antibodies for Oncology
Vir Biotechnology is developing early-phase studies exploring T cell–engaging (TCE) antibodies directed against oncology targets such as PSMA, HER2, and EGFR. The TCEs are made conditionally active using PRO-XTEN™ masking technology to keep the TCEs inactive until they reach the tumor microenvironment, where tumor-specific proteases can activate the T-cell engager, with the goal of limiting the toxicity of these agents and potentially increasing their efficacy.
Dr. Towne will touch upon the scientific rationale underlying this platform, emerging clinical data, and the strategic considerations guiding development across the pipeline.
