About this Event
The proposed event aims to foster insightful dialogue among German and Brazilian stakeholders in bioeconomy, and finance to enhance cooperation, innovation, and sustainable investments. The focus will be on supply chain development, ESG and impact investing, and bioeconomy entrepreneuship within the Amazon region.
Building on the success of the first edition of Amazon Week, in 2023, this event will feature two thematic panel discussions designed to address obstacles to value creation, attract investments, and establish fair, long-term trade relations and cooperation.
Distinguished speakers from various sectors, including representatives from the Brazilian government and academia, Brazilian and European financial institutions, NGOs, Amazonian entrepreneurs, corporate investors, and philanthropic investors, will contribute to the discussions. Topics will include recent governmental initiatives, successful case studies, and strategies for engaging potential offtakers in bioeconomy projects.
Participation is free.
Simultaneous interpretation Portuguese - English will be available.
The is a series of multisectoral events on the sustainable development of the Amazon rainforest which seeks to facilitate discussions on forest conservation, climate protection, and socioeconomic development in the Amazon region.
Organized, in this second edition, by Brazilian embassies in Berlin, Brussels and Paris, along with the Brazilian mission to the European Union and other Amazonian countries embassies, the event counts on partnerships with public institutions, think tanks, NGOs, companies, consultancies, and academia.
Different partners are promoting topics of interest within the project's theme using their preferred format.
