We are excited to announce our Summer Nature Activities, designed to immerse children in the wonders of the natural world through engaging and educational activities. Our workshops are limited to small groups to ensure a personalized and enriching experience for each child.
Camp Details:
Groups: Limited to 15 children per group
Format:
Individual workshops focusing on different nature aspects (trees, birds, ‘bugs’ & wildflowers, habitats).
Children should bring packed lunches.
(Note: Each age group will be kept separate to ensure age-appropriate activities and interactions.)
The workshops will be held mostly or entirely outdoors, utilizing our tent, woods, meadows, and outdoor learning zone. In case of poor weather conditions, indoor facilities will be available.
Activities:
Children will learn about Irish wildlife & biodiversity, the interdependence of all living things through the food web, focussing on the connections between flowers & trees to insects, birds and larger animals. They will learn the names of the common plants and animals encountered through the day, and learn to recognise them so they can identify them in future.
They will also get the chance to complete a piece of natural art, or a craft that directly benefits biodiversity (depending on the day - options include a clay pendant, clay seed pot, zero-waste bird feeder, natural materials collage).
We will explore ways that they can take direct action to benefit our wildlife at home and in the community.
We look forward to a fun-filled summer, exploring nature and fostering a love for the environment in your children!
Individual Workshop: €30 per session.
