About this Event
Innovation isn’t magic - it’s a process that can be learned.
The BioDesign Innovation Bootcamp is a focused introduction to Stanford University’s BioDesign framework, a practical approach to developing and commercialising new medical technologies that deliver better health outcomes.
Delivered in a flexible one- or two-day format, the workshop brings together university and industry experts to help you identify real clinical needs, explore creative solutions, and understand how to translate and commercialise new ideas in healthcare.
Designed for clinicians, researchers, and health professionals, the program combines learning, discussion, and real-world examples from successful BioDesign projects in Australia and beyond.
You’ll learn how to:
- Identify and frame unmet clinical needs.
- Explore innovation pathways and opportunities in medtech.
- Gain an overview of the commercialisation process—regulation, intellectual property, funding, and partnerships.
- Hear from past BioDesign participants who have successfully developed and launched their innovations.
No prior experience in innovation or medtech is required.
Sign up today - places for this event are extremely limited.
Delivered by the Victorian Medtech Skills and Device Hub (VMH) in partnership with RMIT University, the University of Melbourne, Swinburne University of Technology, and Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery (ACMD), this workshop connects health professionals with experts and mentors who can help turn great ideas into real-world healthcare impact.
