About this Event

Biomarkers & Coloring Markers
A Fundraiser for the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN)

Join us for an evening of learning, creativity, and community in support of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN).

We'll begin with a brief introduction to biomarkers and the important role they play in cancer prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. Then we'll spend the rest of the evening coloring, connecting, and enjoying great conversation in a relaxed atmosphere. No scientific background or artistic talent is required.

We'll provide a variety of coloring pages and markers for everyone to enjoy. If you have favorite coloring books, markers, colored pencils, or other supplies, you're welcome to bring them along!

Dinner and drinks will be provided.

This event supports the 16th annual Lights of Hope, ACS CAN's signature fundraising campaign honoring cancer survivors, remembering those we've lost, supporting caregivers, and advocating for lifesaving cancer research, prevention, and access to care.

Michael serves as the ACT Lead for Oregon's 3rd Congressional District, working with lawmakers in Salem and Washington, DC, to advance policies that help prevent cancer, improve treatment, and increase funding for lifesaving research. This year, he has committed to raising $5,000 through the Lights of Hope campaign, and every donation helps move us closer to that goal.

If you know a cancer survivor, someone currently in treatment, someone we've lost, or a caregiver who has walked beside a loved one, consider dedicating a Lights of Hope bag in their honor. Together, we'll help send a powerful message that the fight against cancer must remain a legislative priority.

Admission is free with proof of your donation to support ACS CAN. Whether or not you're able to attend, you can make a donation here:

Please RSVP through Eventbrite if you plan to attend so we can prepare enough food and seating. Space is limited to 30 guests, so we encourage you to reserve your spot early.

We're also excited to host this as one of the very first public events in Michael and Andy's new community event space in Portland's Foster-Powell neighborhood. We'd love for you to get a sneak peek of what's to come while supporting an incredible cause.

All ages are welcome!

Please note that contributions to the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) are not tax deductible.
