Meet at Sunhill Garden Centre at 11.00 and head down the shared path to Tamaki Drive. We will stop at Orakei Rd (11.15) and at Tamaki Drive (11.25) for people to join us. Ride the cycleway to the Viaduct and a short ride on the road to get us to the St Mary’s Bay path. We will stop at the end for a picnic lunch and retrace our wheel tracks home (with maybe a little diversion on the way)!
Bring picnic food, drinks and a blanket or chair.
This is a casual, slow, no-drop ride for anyone who is able to confidently ride a 20km round trip. Kids welcome, but you must be confident of their ability to ride the distance and ride safely. We will stop and regroup along the way. Weather dependent. Check here on the day if in doubt.
Caution. There will be tram tracks. Always cross them at an angle.
