By the end of our First Ever Bike Bus kids and adults were asking: when is the next bike bus?! So this is it!!
The second NFCCA “BIKE BUS“ to Forest Knolls Elementary School rolls out on Friday October 6th, at approximately 8:00 am. And again, you do not need to have a student at Forest Knolls to ride with us!
This is another invitation to all who want start Friday with a little exercise, a little bit of music, and whole lotta FIESTA to support our FKES kids!

A bike bus is an adult-led kids bike ride that will take the FKES students from the neighborhood to school along a determined route. Participants can join the bike bus wherever they want to along the route, you just need to WAIT for the bus to approach your “stop”.
We have created a WhatsApp group chat named “FKES Bike Bus“. Join the group if you want to ride with bike bus.
The WhatsApp group will be the most dynamic means of communication about the ride and the best place to communicate your stop. To join the WhatsApp chat group use this link: https://chat.whatsapp.com/J3CooPX6RRyEKujpV04Zvz, or scan the QR with your cellphone camera.
Kids who can bike independently do not need to be accompanied by their own adult; however, this will be an opportunity to also get parents, relatives, guardians, friends, new neighbors, retirees, former Forest Knolls students, and long time graduates, out riding bikes for about 20-30 mins.
A fiesta on wheels? This time the bike bus playlist’s will feature a bunch of Latin tunes: Shakira, Juanes, Bad Bunny, Fulanito, Karol G, Mana, Aventura, Don Omar, Soda Stereo, and more!
IMPORTANT: once you join the WhatsApp group let us know your name and your street name so that we can better design the bike bus route.
There are a handful of videos and articles that further show what a bike bus can be and I invite you to check them out and shared them with the kids:

Courtesy of KAH (Kids After Hours) I will use their yellow plastic barriers to set up a bike corral near the FKES bike racks so there is a space to lock up more bikes during the school day, please make sure the child brings a bike lock.
