Bike Buddy Mentor Training Spring 2025

Thank you for your interest in being a Bike Buddy. The Bike Buddy Program is a partnership between CIRTA/Commuter Connect and Bike Indianapolis with the purpose of pairing an experienced rider with a new rider to instill a sense of confidence and safety while enhancing their riding experience.

This event is a mandatory training for experienced cyclists who want to become a Bike Buddy Mentor. The training will cover all you need to know about being a Bike Buddy. Information will include program guidelines, responsibilties and specific skills for success including how to plan safe and efficient bike routes, how to impart bicycling rules and regulations, and other important bike commuter tips.

Once you have completed this training, your name will be added to our Bike Buddy Mentor list that is used to pair with new riders.

Special call out to experienced riders who live in our donut counties (Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Boone, Shelby and Johnson Counties). We would love to expand our reach to novice riders and need Bike Mentors in these areas.
