Join us for a 2-mile group ride along 1st Street to show support for a Flow Street (Fun + Slow), safer infrastructure where people walking, biking, and rolling are prioritized.🤔 What’s a Flow Street?
Lower speed limits, clear signage, and design that makes the street comfortable for an 8-year-old or an 80-year-old alongside local car access.
🗺️ Why 1st Street?
It already has low through-traffic and connects residential neighborhoods directly to downtown businesses, jobs, and services. A Flow Street would bring more customers to local shops while easing congestion on the Lakewalk by giving commuters a safe parallel route.
Cities like San Francisco have seen collision rates drop 36% on similar streets, with no increase in nearby congestion. Safe, walkable streets support local businesses and help create the vibrant, safe downtown Duluth needs.
All experience levels welcome.
