Bigfoot Festival: Make 'em Read It Your Way Workshop
About this Event
Over the years we met with poets and have heard about unfinished projects or work that is *almost* ready to print. Make 'Em Read It Your Way (led by Susanna & Wil Gibson) is a formatting workshop, which includes syntax, formatting for publication, and for amplifying the message in the work. As editors, we have worked together to bring the voice and vision of the poet out of their written work. We ask poets to bring a collection they would put into a chapbook (10 poems), a piece they would like to see finished on the page, and/or any original work they would like to complete. We can work with whatever medium poets prefer. Our goal is that you have submission or print ready work at the end of the workshop.
This writing workshop is FREE, and it is taking place at the Hyatt Centric (601 SW 11th Ave) on June 26th at 11:00am. (If a Venmo/PayPal handle is presented at this event, we encourage folks to tip the workshop leader.)
This event is a part of the Bigfoot Poetry Festival's 2026 workshop series.
This event takes place on the second floor of the Hyatt Centric in the Pettygrove event room. This venue is ADA accessible. There is an elevator to takes folks up a level.
