Big Weeding Saturday

Big Weeding Saturdays is a monthly event we created to tackle invasive weeds across the site. During these work parties, we primarily tackle weeds along walking paths and in beds where we grow food.

Weeding can be very labor-intensive so we recommend that you dress comfy and be prepared to spend a lot of time squatting or bending over. We also recommend that you dress appropriately for the weather. In the colder months (October - April), wear a good jacket/coat for rain or wind, a hat, and/or gloves.

Though we typically have water and snacks on site, in the warmer months (May - September), bring your own just in case!

The nearest restroom is located in Jefferson Park (about a five-minute walk) along the track.
