Join us for the Big Screen Summer Cinema!We're excited to be showing The Wild Robot (2024), which follows the epic adventure follows the journey of a robot–ROZZUM unit 7134, “Roz” for short–that is shipwrecked on an uninhabited island and must learn to adapt to the harsh surroundings, gradually building relationships with the animals on the island and becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling.
This year’s programme has been selected in response to The Reading Agency annual summer reading challenge. ‘Story Garden’ will inspire children to tap into a world of imagination through reading, exploring the magical connection between storytelling and nature. The outdoor screenings take place on the first four Saturdays in August at 3pm – free, no booking necessary.
Early arrival is advised to find yourself a comfortable area to sit, to avoid disappointment as we will be operating a first come, first served policy. Bring your own chair or blanket to sit on the pavement or grass, respectively. Extra bins will be available, and toilets and water fountains are located inside The Forum building.
