The Washtenaw ACA’s mission is to empower people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to participate fully in community life through advocacy, education, and support—and they’ve been doing that work now for 75 years!!!
Last year alone, they helped over 700 individuals navigate vital but complex systems such as Social Security, Special Education, DHS, and Michigan Rehabilitation Services—and in their 75 years they’ve directly and indirectly helped enough people to fill up the Big House, just down the street.
This mission does of course take resources—to the tune of multiple full-time support professionals—so for the 75th, we are doing it up BIG!
On October 12 (a Michigan Football bye week) the ACA is throwing a fundraiser at the University of Michigan Golf Course Clubhouse. Come eat, drink, dance to Dj Nicole Myint, and support ACA’s Mission with us!
