Big Mama's Collard Greens Fest by The Newtown Farmers Market

This beloved event celebrates community and culture, bringing together influences from Cajun, Creole, Southern, and Caribbean styles.

At the heart of the festival are the legendary “big mamas,” representing the best-tasting family collard greens recipes, some dating back more than 100 years. In addition, chefs from significant restaurants in Sarasota and Manatee counties and the Tampa Bay area will showcase their collard greens and specialty foods. Live entertainment will highlight local talent, creating a vibrant and exciting atmosphere for attendees of all ages.
